Missions trip to Adjuntas, Puerto Rico:  April 23 - 26, 2012

About the trip:  This trip will consist of outreaches to orphanages, substance abuse recovery centers, prisons, & relief efforts to impoverished areas.  Crusades will be held nightly.

Cost:  Approximately $600 (A $100 deposit is due upon registration.)

About Adjuntas:  It is a small mountainside municipality in Puerto Rico located central midwest of the island on the Central Mountain Range.  It's highest peaks are 3,773 ft.  Adjuntas is nicknamed "the Switzerland of Puerto Rico" because of it's relatively chilly climate.  The average yearly weather is 72 degrees Fahrenheit.

How you can help:
1.  Pray for the team.

2.  Pray for the people of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico.

3.  Help provide basic necessities for the local orphanage.  Each child will receive a     new outfit, pair of shoes, and Spanish Bible.  The cost to provide these items (per child) is $50.  Gift cards may be purchased at WalMart or make checks payable to Victory Christian Center (or VCC).  Deadline:  April 1st.

4.  Help provide food to the impoverished areas of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico via Blessing Bags.  The cost to fill one Blessing Bag is $25.  Donations can be made via cash or check to Victory Christian Center (no gift cards for these items, please).  The monies will be sent to the local church in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to purchase the items prior to the our team's arrival.  Deadline:  April 15th.

What will the VCC team do in Adjuntas?
1.  Distribute Bibles and clothing to children in local Adjuntas orphanages.
2.  Distribute food to families in impoverished areas of Adjuntas.
3.  Provide medical aid to impoverished areas.
4.  Children's ministry services at local orphanages.
5.  Assisting with construction on orphanage campuses.
6.  Nightly ministry to local churches.
